Another standard morning start with a panther taxi to the train station and then catching the train to the airport. No morning shots this time but there was a customary beer. Flight was uneventful but upon arriving in Copenhagen airport, we also realised it was easy to get to Malmo in Sweden. Thats one to keep for the next trip. So, we took the train from the airport to the city centre and we then parted ways for the afternoon. I headed out to a seaside suburb to visit a friend and her daughters where she prepared some Malaysian Chinese food and I practiced my mandarin with her daughters who are bilingual in Mandarin and Danish. It was great to see them playing with a Danish neighbour of the same age. We should def be like kids in this manner. Went for a walk to the beach which was 5 minutes down the road and was at the Sound as the English calls it. Took the suburban train back to the city centre and the evening really began. It has been quite a long few weeks of teaching and we really needed the break.

So, after electronically checking in the room and making our beds, we headed down for a few drinks and for some reason, 10 shots of some Danish Liqueur. The hostel bar and restaurant was a decent one. Once all 10 shots were imbibed, we headed to a few other pubs... warpigs was one of them and this is where my observation on the composition if the crowd started. We then went on to meet a friend of K to two other pub where we had some pretty good cocktails and also played ping pong. A club we ended up in was not the best so after a drink there, we left with the intention of going to another club. But the journey there turned a bit messy and I just headed back to the hostel, miraculously getting in even with all the long codes to be entered. Waking up fully clothed (with my winter jacket on as well was slightly confusing but we did laugh it off).

The rest of the day was spent exploring Copenhagen with a slight hangover, taking photos in Neuhaven, checking out the independent area where there were rows of weed retailers, going up a church tower which was very irrationally constructed, and also visiting the quite quiet palace. After lunch at a Danish restaurant, served by a Chinese waiter, we headed out of town to find the little mermaid, and walked around that are which was quite beautiful but cold. Going up and down buses to kill time was quite a good way to see the city. Then, we headed to the airport early and relaxed and was then informed that our flight was delayed. There goes our hope of catching the last train back to Cambridge from Stansted. The 2.45 bus it was then! 6 hours later, we were back in college.
