A few swims in the pool and the bay later, with a good tan, the next logical thing to do would be to take a bath. Right? All relaxed, I took it easy and enjoyed a prolonged but beautiful sunset from my Balcony - the sea view room was definitely worth it. And now it's time for a final adventure from this short trip. I am writing this paragraph while on the ferry from Valetta to Silema, after a 10 minute walk from the hotel.

Maika from the tours earlier did not suggest going to Silema as it didn't represent the real and authentic Malta - true to the name of her travel group, Authentic Malta. But, I was curious to see what foreigners looking for sun did to this part of Malta. It was indeed a standard beach resort, with large and long promenades with cafes, bars, and restaurants lining the shore. On the other side of the road were boring modern apartments while in the middle of the peninsular was the older buildings - even an attempt to recreate a British circus in the middle (circus as in the circuses of Oxford and Piccadilly in London). Not surprisingly, the Maltese language was barely seen in this part of Malta - even in public notices and road signs, less than in the other parts of Malta visited earlier. Stuffed with fried rabbit and a fish soup from dinner, I walked around a bit before catching the 11pm ferry back to Valetta.

Did I mention how nice the views from the ferry was?

So, here I am sitting in the airport catching up on what I did last evening and this morning. The morning was a lazy one where I contemplated whether or not to have one final dip in the warm Mediterranean (not sure when the next time I'll be able to swim in warm waters again) but the comfy bed and room pulled me. The view from the bed was still wonderful, however.
