Christmas 2017 Pre-Adventures - London
The 2017 Christmas holidays started with a short stopover in London for a very good reason - the 6th annual Wulfhaus Christmas Dinner. A short train ride with the other Wulfs from Cambridge brought us to Kings Cross where we had to get our libations for the evening as the area around Arsenal was not selling booze due to a match against Newcastle. Our hosts this year - for the second year running - were the Bohnes who moved to Holloway Road from Cambridge a couple of years ago. As tradition holds, we feasted on too much turkey, pigs in blankets, together with an abundance of trimmings. And, who can forget the Secret Santa where Mr. Barker came into my possession - unfortunately I could not take him with me on my onward journeys and it only came back to me on New Years Eve. A few games an lots of G&Ts later, we called it a night and another successful Wulfhaus event.

Christmas in London
While the other guests went back after the party, I decided to stay on in London instead of going back and forth. After a slow morning, the Bohnes and I brunched at the appropriately named Travel Cafe on Holloway Road and then went thrift shopping. Later in the evening, I headed off to Camden Town to help a friend, Diamond who just relocated to London, move to a more permanent place. The taxi ride was interesting as the driver did not know where to go but we made it there eventually. A quick catch up over dinner at Pizzeria di Camden where we had very good pizzas and wine - definitely recommended!
Navigating the London underground would have been adventure enough for some but 1 year living in London and 8 years living just one train away from a tube stop had made the system more of a commute - Northern Line from Camden Town to Euston... the Victoria Line to Victoria.... from Victoria Train Station... a not so short walk to Victoria Coach Station.
But now the adventure begins......
